Local-first training

Training should keep working without making an account the first exercise.

Progress that stays yours.

The problem

A training product has to preserve the record of real effort. Network failures, sign-in friction, and disconnected program histories should not get between a person and the next set.

What we built

Seismic Toss is a free training companion for guided strength, calisthenics, custom programs, and BJJ sessions. A shared planner and history connect the week. An account is never required to train.

The engineering

The schema-versioned local record remains authoritative. Export and validated import give the user a recovery path; optional Google-backed backup adds another. Independent program progression keeps the next workout tied to the work actually completed.

  • Local record remains authoritative
  • Training without sign-in
  • Export, validated import, and optional backup
  • Independent progression in a shared history

The boundary

BJJLifts remains an internal compatibility name. Seismic Toss is the public product name. The screenshot uses an empty local browser with demonstration setup, not a real person’s training history.
